Do you need help shutting off a new feature where Google Docs has started to complete your words or sentences? Is it driving you nuts? I helped a friend shut it off and want to share what I found so you don’t have to suffer.

Head to Tools > Preferences > Show Smart Compose Suggestions and unclick the check box! That’s all!

Update: Some users are reporting finding this under Editor > Text Predictions

Google Docs have started to complete the words and sentences of some users. So far this may only be impacting enterprise-level accounts of Google Suite. Hopefully, this helps you if you’re Googling for solutions on auto-fill, autocomplete, word completion, predictive text, QuickType, Smart Compose, etc. so you don’t have to waste time!

😘 So, hey! Once you’ve successfully slain the Google Docs word completion demon why not check out Trailhead GO and learn some awesome business and tech skills on your mobile phone?
